Obama's inauguration: In the crowd |
Among Americans there should be no forgotten Men and no forgotten races.
I am attending the Inauguration Day public swearing ceremony held on Monday, January 21st. Obama represents to me a "People's President" and for the first time I particpated in his 2nd elections as a volunteer in the democratic office in CA.. I decided to travel from CA. to attend this historic event because the day also happens to fall on Martin Luther King Day. Lincoln, Martin Luther King and many other american political revolutionaries and figures have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms in the United States. I am thankful to live in an economically, politically, and religiously free society. The decision my parents made to literally pack their bags and immigrate to the United States with dreams of education, success and freedom for their children paid off. Their decision changed the future of all generations. I am proud be an American.
