Serbia removes Albanian Memorial
Serbian Police removed the monument of the martyrs in Preseva valley, an area which is populated with Albanian community. Today around 7 a.m serbian police removed the monument of the” Liberation Army of Kosovo“ that fought against Serbian in the Kosova war 1999.
Officials from Kosovo claimed that the removal is a provocation and a very low act, they also said that its completely against the will of the Albanian community living there, which is a violation of fundamental human rights. European Union called for compromise in the case of the monument but Serbian officials couldn't wait for it. Serbia never recognized the independence of Kosovo which was declared on February 2008. The negotiations between two countries are still continuing, but this act shows clearly the Serbian lack of being ready for a compromise.
