    Spanish Mental Illness

There is the American 'Wild and Crazy Guy" and the Spanish "Hot blooded latin" One form of wildness is glorified in movies as part of the American way of life , The other is view as a form of mental hysteria. In the DMS pyschiatirc manual a "Hot blooded latin" could fall under the diagnosis of "Ataque de nevous" tranlated to a person with a nervous attack or the term "LOCO" meaning crazy. When Marlon Brando screams out the name "Stella" and ripped off his shirt in the movie this act was viewed as a form of 'Cool" Imagine a latin person performing that scene and the movie street car name desire would of defined mental illness earlier in the movie.
