CNN PRODUCER NOTE cronked stood on the East side of Portland's Willamette River, facing West, and shot about 10 hours of video to capture the move of the Sellwood Bridge. He used editing software to speed it up to 15 seconds. 'It was cold, but this was a once-in-a-lifetime event,' said the iReporter, who crosses the 87-year-old bridge every day. The bridge provides the only crossing for a 12-mile stretch of the Willamette River between Oregon City and Portland, and it connects several state highways. It ranks a 2 out of a possible 100 on a national bridge structural rating scale, and has narrow lanes with no shoulder or median. The iReporter said he and others are looking forward to the new bridge, which will have wide sidewalks and bike lanes in both directions.
