The Heaviest Snowfall in Yokohama
The falling snow woke me up, literally, on January 14, 2013. It was the first snowfall of the season in Yokohama City where I live. It fell from morning until about four in the afternoon. It was the heaviest snowfall in thirteen years.
I went around the neighborhood filming the whole day. Cars were stranded in the middle of the road; bus and train services were delayed by hours; and workers were dismissed as early as 2.00 in the afternoon.
The entire city was blanketed in white. A week after, roadsides are still lined with frozen snow.
