    International Day of Peace

‘Peace Day Exeter’ A Great Celebration for NH Seacoast Residents

    +

Great event with people of all ages celebrating Peace through music, symposiums, information kiosks, children's acitivities, yoga, tai chi and food!

Under beautiful blue skies, hundreds of NH seacoast residents gathered Sunday at the Peace Day Exeter celebration on Swasey Parkway.  the Peace Day Exeter event was part of the larger United Nations International Day of Peace that is focused on building a culture of peace globally.

Kathy Gallant owner of Blue Moon Market-Café-Yoga in Exeter and a Peace Day Exeter Committee Member and Event Sponsor couldn't have been more pleased with the day, "It's great to see this many people out here in support of Peace and their community. I think the response is probably greater than our Peace Day Exeter committee expected.  What a positive day all around."

Peace Day Exeter's goal was to promote a greater consciousness of peace in the seacoast area and to have fun. The event featured food and refreshments, guest speakers/panel discussions, musical entertainment, information kiosks, demonstrations and workshops, arts and crafts, and a tent dedicated to children's activities. Adults and children had their faces painted and had fun hoola-hooping and listening to music. Participants of all ages were able to explore ways to promote Peace within themselves, their community and the world.

Gallant manned the Blue Moon booth where Peace Day Soup, made from all local vegetables, was offered. 100% of the sales of the Blue Moon's Peace Day Soup are being donated to Peace Day Exeter.  To get involved in next year's Peace Day Exeter festival, visit www.peacedayexeter.com.
