President Morsy discussed with Saudi officials Egypt-Saudi bridge project
Mohamed Farid , CAIRO, Jan 22
President Moahmed Morsy held talks with Saudi officials on a project to construct a bridge linking Egypt and Saudi Arabia, said presidential spokesman Yasser Ali on Tuesday.
The Saudi officials accepted in principle the project, planned to be
built over the Red Sea, as the Saudi and Egyptian leaders have a political will to execute the project, Ali said.
During the talks, Morsy tackled the obstacles facing the Saudi
investors in Egypt and proposed solutions for them, he added.
Morsy chaired on Monday Egypt's delegation to the third Arab Economic and Social Development Summit. He handed over the summit's rotating presidency to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel-Aziz.
