    Women in combat: Your take

    Women In Combat

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     CoachMelvin told me, 'In my 11-year tenure in the Army women actually trained alongside us in combat operations training. They did all the same things we did. Plus, women in other countries are used very effectively in combat.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

I trained in an infantry combat unit and females trained right along beside us; they did everything we did: crawl under low-strung razorwire under live-fire conditions, threw handgrenades, hand-to-hand combat, fired missiles, drove jeeps on the obstacle course and even finished some training events before, better and faster than some men.

Also, women were leaders and fightersin in the Bible:
Deborah led the Israelites in peace and in war. She was a prophetess, but when war came she devised a battle strategy that gave the out-numbered and badly-equipped Israelite troops victory over their Canaanite enemy. Another woman, Jael, used a tent peg and a mallet to finish off the unfortunate enemy general, Sisera.

So I don't see any problem with it.
