CNN PRODUCER NOTE mrsmashcot and her children were spending time with their grandparents up in the mountains in Linville, North Carolina, this weekend when they decided to take advantage of the 7 inches of snow. 'Our initial goal was to build a snow man, but after he was complete, the kids decided he needed a wife and children -- just like our family,' she said. 'I was in charge of rolling and stacking up the balls of snow for the bodies and the kids gathered pebbles, sticks, carrots, yarn, hats, gloves, and scarves, and did the decorating.' Eight year-old, Nathan, seven year-old, Maggie, and five year-old, David Mashke took advantage of the recent winter weather by constructing an entire snow family. The creatively designed family consists of icy versions of themselves, along with their mom and dad. Originally from the warm coastal town of Beaufort, South Carolina, the youngsters were enjoying a wintery visit with their grandparents, Roger and Barbara Mashke, in Linville, North Carolina.
