These are pictures from our mission to the School for the Deaf. When we got there to meet with the headmaster the building was horrible. We added a 2nd story with classrooms, rehabilitated the original first floor, had grass planted to make a soccer field and volleyball court, and added the stairs at the front and the side spiral staircase. The kids are incredibly happy that they have a brand new school to go to everyday from the Americans and my team and I couldn't have been more happy to give it to them. These beautiful kids pictures and smiles still follow me even though I am home and I hope everyday that they will be ok in the future. The last picture closeup of the two little girls, the one on the right is my good friend. I love her to death. She's also the one waving in the white hijab in one of the photos in this story. We shouldn't leave Afghanistan alone because Iran and Pakistan won't.
