    My Shar-Pai dog Roy

My dog is a Chinese Shar-Pai. The dog is the world’s rarest breed according to Guinness World Records. Shar-Pai means “Sand skin” in Chinese. They are popular for their medium size, small ears, black or blue tongue and tale like a Shiba-dog. They are especially well known because their skin has so many wrinkles. The ancestor of this dog lived with people at farm to hunt boar and guard the house. Later their become dog fighter. Another name for them is “Chinese Fighting Dog”. From 1966 to 1967, the Chinese government ordered people to not have dogs. Because no one took care of them, their population dwindled. However it was revived by those which survived. Now, one such Shar-Pai lives with my family in Japan. His name is Roy and He is 3 years old. He is so popular in my town, because he is rare kind of dog. Everyone like him and wants to touch him, but he doesn’t want anyone to do this except for us. He loves us. Of course we too! He is friendly with his family but with others he always takes caution. He is very intelligent. He had run away from our house twice, because he wants to play outside. He can open the window of my house even though no one has told him how to do this. He learned by himself! Also when he sleeps in me or my brother’s bed hide from us, he always uses a pillow. He is so funny! His personality is adorable, every morning he comes to my room to wake me up and when my family comes back home he kisses us with his tongue. He is royal dog to those who adore him and he adores us. His instinct is to protect us from everyone who comes to our house by first smelling them. He also love play with kids in the park such as running or playing with ball. The Shar-pai breed is good for family, because they are not only cute baby dog but they also wants to protect their families. We are happy to be with Roy as one of our family. We will take care of him and I hope Shar-Pai will increase and are loved in the worlds.
