Chicago Fire and Ice!
I'm a 29-year-old freelance photographer from Chicago, IL. I heard about this fire on the South side, so I went to see for myself. The temperature was about 10 degrees. Smoke could be seen from I-55. The warehouse is slowly falling apart, and it's clear the firefighters have been there for days doing their best to contain what they've called "the largest Chicago fire in years." I had to trudge through the resultant sludge as I approached the fire trucks. There were more trucks around back, but the police stopped me before I could get close.
