MLK Day was not recognized in Blount County Alabama's Board of Education. Due to a recent facebook debate, a Petition is now circulating through out the city of Oneonta Alabama. It can be found on www.change.org. Its now being told that since so many black people in the community have complained, Oneonta City School is allowing the students to be out on the following Monday and stating it is now to recognize MLK Day. Is this racially motivated by Blount County and is racisim still a big part of The Board of Education in the south?
