    Street Marches to Tahrir

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rammysalem felt a strong sense of pride as he joined the 'sea of protesters' that gathered in Cairo. He wanted to share this protest since 'it is evident that there is deep-rooted anger among the Egyptian populace at the lack of leadership and unfulfilled promises of the Muslim Brotherhood.' He reports, '[people] were all there for different reasons, but united in the belief that current situation in Egypt is unacceptable.' He describes the crowd as 'organized chaos' with occasional fights breaking out with Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers. 'There was a cacophony of whistles, horns, and chanting. The closer we got to Tahrir, the larger the group swelled as several marches converged onto each other.'

    Several normally busy roads and freeways were empty due to protesters descending upon Tahrir Square from every corner of Cairo. Some protesters breached security fences and concertina wires to attempt to infiltrate the state broadcast and television building.
