Feinstein's Rapist Empowerment Act of 2013

The Feinstein Rapist Empowerment Act of 2013

Liberals Are the Kings of Unintended Consequences. At the very least I hope that the outcome of passing draconian gun control legislation is unintended. That the loss of life and increased numbers of victims is not Senator Feinstein's goal, I am however of the belief that she values victims more than women capable of defending themselves.

A victim is often an easily manipulated advocate for the implementation of additional legislation to infringe upon liberty. Why would she not want more victims, more emotion, less logic, fewer facts.

Under the cold light of day logic and facts support liberty and expose the tyranny of her legislation for what it is. A true assault and a true war on women. An assault that will ultimately destroy the second amendment and have intentional life and death consequences for hundreds of thousands of women who defend themselves each year with a semi automatic pistol.

In addition it lays bare and restricts the 2.5 million people that rely on a firearm to defend themselves and their families each year to criminals that will have no restraints on the magazines and firearms they use against citizens.
Several states are considering legislation, New York in particular acted swiftly to pass gun control legislation ahead of Feinstein's Rapist Empowerment Act that in effect accomplishes many of the same objectives.

What will the people of New York say to the advancing criminals in their home, excuse me for a second while I reload? Time Out! I only have 7 shots in my magazine!

The knee jerk responses by Liberal Democrats have for all practical purposes clearly defined for us going forward where they stand on personal liberties and their goal of government confiscation of personal firearms. How can they ever be trusted again? They can't.

They had some political capital and they had the opportunity to propose real changes in the way we address mental health issues and provide those service, they had the opportunity to strengthen and enforce laws that address criminals that use a weapon in the commission of a crime rather than legislation that would create criminals out of law abiding firearms owners.

They had opportunity to be heroes and they threw it all away to further their true plan to make a grab for the firearms the people hold for their protection, sport and defense.

What does a ban that includes the most commonly owned weapons used for self-defense really do? How does it change the way in which citizens protect themselves against criminals and the way the criminals perceive their chances of being successful?

In the recent election the Democrats made the claim that the Republicans were waging a war on women and what women can or can’t do with their bodies. The argument wasn’t going anywhere until Todd Akin offered himself up as the poster child for the Democrats campaign of fear by his statement that “legitimate rape rarely causes pregnancy.”

In a moment Akin provided the left with all they needed to pound that point home and paint all Conservatives, and all Republicans with the same brush. It didn’t even require a spin, he handed them his head on a silver platter and the comment was viral before he got home from the studio. If Akin had his way an abortion would not be available for any woman for any reason and a woman would be forced to carry her rapist’s baby.

Myself and many others were appalled by his statement of “legitimate rape”, believe that the Supreme Court has ruled on the issue of abortion and do not share Akin’s views but those voices were ignored. We are also appalled by the current attacks against the Second Amendment and our voices will also be ignored by the mainstream media as they push their disarmament scheme.

If Akin’s comment is indicative of a Republican War on Women certainly Feinstein’s Rapist Empowerment Act of 2013 legislation is a True War on Women. A woman with a gun is the (not so) hidden enemy of this proposed legislation as it targets and bans firearms commonly used for self defense (a semi automatic pistol)

I ask would you rather have a semi auto Glock or a 5 shot S&W Revolver? In the short run you might have the S&W for a time after the Glock has been banned, in the long run you won’t have either to rely on as they have made it clear that all handguns must go.

Emboldened by what they thought was near universal support for action the Democrats missed the target (yet again) and overreached. They came out in great numbers to say what we all suspected was true all along, that their goal is to ban and confiscate all firearms from individuals while exempting themselves so that they may carry the same firearms for protection that they would deny us all.

Feinstein’s Ban and additional attempts to restrict firearm possession lays women (and others) bare to attacks from criminals who must surely be salivating at the prospect that they will not face down a woman packing heat in the parking lot or her home.

Making ownership cost prohibitive, a per weapon tax, and other restrictions does nothing to protect people, it only insures that fewer people will be able to protect themselves. It insures that more will be victims of criminal assault.

In 2005 polls showed that 13% of women owned a firearm and in 2011 it was up to 23%. These numbers indicate that 15 to 20 million women own a firearm, for sport, for competition, and for protection.

Feinstein’s rabid hate for firearms refuses to recognize that from 1990 to 2000 the American arsenal increased by 40 million guns and homicide rates dropped by 40%. More guns in the hand of law abiding people meant less violent crime.

Guns are used to stop crime between 1.5 and 2.5 million times a year, that is upwards of 6,850 times a day but you won’t hear those stories on the nightly news. Neither will they tell you that 200,000 women reported that they successfully defended themselves against a sexual assault each year.

548 women each day use their firearm in this way to protect themselves. Is it any wonder that according to a Justice Department survey that 74% of criminals agree that they don’t enter an occupied house because they are (wait for it) afraid they will get shot. 57% are more afraid of an armed citizen than the police, maybe because armed citizens kill twice as many criminals in self-defense with a gun as do the police.

Then of course NOW National Organization of Women reports that nearly 600 women are raped each day and that 3 of the 9 women killed each day are murdered by an intimate partner (2005).

When seconds count the Police are only minutes away. Even law enforcement officers recognize that as fact. In Milwaukee County Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke Jr. says “you can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed or fight back”

NOW estimates about 219,000 rapes per year the disaster center places forcible rape at 83,425 per 200,000 women packing heat sent their would be attackers packing to seek other less difficult victims. It seems obvious that more guns in the hands of law abiding people saves lives, and creates fewer victims.

The choice is do you take responsibility for your own safety or rely on others who may only arrive in time to call the ambulance or bring the body bag?

Based on the statistics the proposed gun ban legislation would eventually DOUBLE (or more) the number of successful forcible rapes to over 400,000 per year. Feinstein’s Assault Weapons ban is an assault all right; against our homes, and family, against women and children.

Making gun ownership more difficult, and banning weapons doesn’t save lives, it creates more victims and once the criminal knows their victims will be unarmed the all you can rape buffet will be open.

The ultimate impact of such legislation will destroy more lives that it saves. It will allow more women to be assaulted by their attackers. Will more victims lead to more demand for ever more draconian measures to fight crime, more dependency on government to protect us?

Probably, unfortunately it will result in increased attacks against our freedoms. The cry of PROTECT US at all cost! in the Name of Public Safety will be the battle cry of the charge against freedom and what will eventually enslave us all.

How can we view Feinstein’s Assault Weapon Ban as anything else other than what it is? A true War on Women.

A war that will be carried out by sexual predators and criminals who most certainly dream of the day that they can wreak havoc with impunity against an unarmed population and without fear of law enforcement arriving in time to stop them.

Women have a choice, you can beg for mercy, you can hide under the bed, or you can fight back.

Call it a woman's right to choose.............. but choose you must, what say you??
