.It's  true that in the 1800's the US acquired the States along the South west  by force long after it was settled by Mexicans. But the Mexicans moved  there long after the Native Americans moved there from Asia. The Spanish  seized all of Latin America except for Brazil which the Portugese also  acquired by force.

I  am not a historian, but as a foreign correspondent who has lived since  the 60's in the South Western US I am familiar with the immigrant  problems there.

If  Britain, Europe, Russia, Asia and the US were to turn back time and  return all the places they simply TOOK from the loca resident including  huge portions of the Pacific by the US during WW2, not to mention Puerto  Rico and the US virgins........well the whole World's geography and  political structure would be unrecognizable.

Most  people come to America...any which way they can...to seek better lives  than the dead end ones in their own countries.....it is NOT about  political persecution it's about $$$...Latins can earn more in a day in  the US, even in menial or stoop labor agricultural jobs than they get in  a week or month where they came from, that is the main attraction, then  theres the free medical, education, food stamps,etc,etc, etc, which is  non existent south of de border.they exploit and abuse America's hospitality and compassion ! The uk whereI am originally from has an  even worse problem since joining the eu because millions of  undesirables, gypsies, irish travellers, eastern european criminals and  gangs have and still are invading the already overcrowded and out of resources small island !

Immigrants,  legal or illegal still need work to survive, so do Americans, many who,  because so many immigrants, illegals ,etc have moved into the country  one way or another CANNOT find work or survive themselves ! This MUST be  taken into consideration when we discuss the illegal immigrant  situation.

11  million illegal immigrants is a mammoth number of people...it dwarfs  the population of most of the World's biggest cities. Regardless on  where you stand about immigration crossing another couty's border  unlawfully is WRONG ! if Americans did this in Mexico or any other  country or overstayed they would be locked up and eventually deported  back to the US.....but it seems that many if not most mexicans and  others who violate America's borders adapt a mocking attitude and a  defiant stance towards America's sovereign right to protect and defend  it's borders and control who can enter and why. NO other country on the  Planet has been or would be as lenient as the US has been for far too  long ! America has the ingenuity, technology and resolve to seal the borders and make them absolutely secure for a fraction wasted on foreign wars daily and they WILL get around to it sooner than later or risk being overun by every dropkick on the Planet...then it will become like Mogadishu and other filthy 3rd World hellholes and will NEVER be America the beautiful again !

Homeland Security's  Napoleatano  is locking horns with Arizona governor Brewer over the strict stance  Arizona has taken to try and STOP the flow of Mexicans and whoever from  wherever entering the State and US illegally. Many illegals commit  crimes too...like  murder, robbery and rape,gun smuggling, they have most of the WORST and MOST dangerous gangs like MS 13 from el salvador who have wreaked havoc and terrorism as bad as al qaeda on America's neighborhoods !.....driving without license, registration or insurance and are often involved in hit and run accidents all across the South West and elsewhere, the jails and prisons are bursting at the seams with illegal immigrants who break every law possible  once they are in the country !we are talking about tens of thousands of people who are NOTHING but hardened criminals NOT hard working folk looking for a better life ! they bring the living standards down and  transform many beautiful areas including nature beauty spots into  scavenger trash heaps ! Napoleatano no longer lives in Arizona nor does  Attorney General Holder or Obama, so they don't have to sit down to  their evening meals and encounter strangers peering into their homes  through the windows,etc these illegals are also tresspassing on private  property and crossing into the US unlawfully ! Then they act with indignity and defiance when caught and have the plausability and nerve to complain about their treatment by the authorities who are just doing their jobs to protect America's borders...like any other country does !

However,  that being said, now is the time for the White House, Congress and the  Senate to put their clever little heads together and decide once and for  all WHAT the best solution on illegals immigrants is !

There's  NO easy answer folks either America gives a BLANKET amnesty which is  the fair way or it rounds the ALL up in witch hunt fashion and THROWS  them out ! there's NO 3 ways abut it ! Then, whatever is decided by the  powers that be....the WISE next step would be to take an example from  the Israelis and construct an IMPREGNABLE fence along America's  Southern AND Northern borders...YES this can and should be done to put  an end to ILLEGAL immigration once and for all !

It's  NOT about how hard illegals work or what jobs they do that Americans  won't....it's about the FACT that millions of foreigners have entered  another country, that they consider "THE PROMISED LAND " when compared to  their own unpleasant and inhospitable countries,
