These are my twins, K and Kendra. They are 17 years old and it's a miracle they are even living!!
Born June 12th, 1995 in Flint, Michigan at Hurley Medical Center at only 26 weeks, that's just 6 1/2 months!! Ks weighed 2.3 pounds and Kendra weighed 1.7 pounds!!!!
I had a very difficult pregnancy where at 3 months, I was put on strict bed rest do to bleeding. I remember watching the whole O.J. Simpson murder trial on t.v., and yes I believe Nancy Grace was with Court TV at that time and I loved watching her way back then!!!! I found it kind of ironic that my twins, a boy and a girl were born on a the year anniversary of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldmans murder.
The day I actually gave birth, I had started bleeding and had to call an ambulance. I was rushed to the hospital and was put on medication to help the babies lungs develop. I started to get a very high fever after a couple of days which meant infection was setting in. It was decided that an Emergency Cesarian section be done. They were born and rushed away so that the Neonatal crew could start life saving measures for the twins.
It was up and down for two months as I lived at the hospital pretty much. They were in the hospital for three months.
Kendra is beautiful as you see, and K is a musician now. He is getting quite an audience so stay tuned!!!!
They truly are my miracles, and this is my personal story to you.
