    A little ice to start the year

    My Partner and I were in upstate NY for New Years. Temperatures were in the single digits every night. I took these pictures while we were there, finding the striking beauty of the ice. The first picture of some icicles that caught the morning light. The second is of a small waterfall that froze over the rocks. It amazed me how the color of the ice stood out against the lack of color in the surrounding trees. You can also see some of the moss ont he rocks is also frozen.
