Excellent Snow Conditions for Southern California
Big Bear Lake, CA – Bear Mountain and Snow Summit retain excellent snow conditions heading into Valentine’s Day Weekend. Recent snow storms and cold weather has allowed both resorts to lay down a three foot base of snow. Improve your technique in the half pipe or check out the jumps and rails at either resort. One ticket gets you shuttled between resorts. Snow Summit will be open for night skiing and boarding Friday (February 1) and Saturday (February 2).
Conditions are sweet and the weather is mild. The surface is machine groomed packed powder. Try to arrive mid-week and take advantage of small lift lines. The USASA will host a slope style snowboard event at Bear Mountain on Sunday.
Bear Mountain has added a slope style course to their Central Park. Enjoy their Big Wall Ride, as well as beginner and intermediate jumps, rails and half-pipes. Read more about... Best Snow Conditions
