The Hidden Power Behind the Democratic Machine
In our post Presidential election cycle, Republicans are stumbling around wondering how they could have lost. This seemed like a layup; a bad economy, millions unemployed, unstable foreign policy, and a 16 trillion dollar debt, etc.
They sift through the debris to try and data-mine the metrics for some clue as to what went wrong or what they are missing.
Well, it is very simple. The Republicans didn’t take into account the Weed vote. Weed? Yes, Mary Jane, 4/20.
This is a little known but calculated secret of the Democratic machine. There are so many people that smoke weed, enjoy it and align their political beliefs around the decriminalization of the substance.
Most will not speak of it openly as it is still illegal for the most part. But you will hear a common refrain from this crowd of, “We need to end the war on drugs”. Hmm, okay.
Republicans would do well to champion the cause of the legalization of marijuana. That would sweep the Republicans into office for the next decade in my opinion.
