Hi, My name is Selma. My family and I came to America from former Yugoslavia 23 years ago. We are all Naturalized Citizens of America. We had a very very difficult process to obtain our papers. It was the most stressful thing in our life's when we were undocumented and uncertain of our future in America. The lawyers were very pricy and a lot of them were not doing their job properly and were taking advantage immigrants and their hard earned money. I first hand know how hard and difficult it is and the stress behind it. My husband and I have 2 beautiful boys and an average lifestyle. We both work to provide for our household, and to send money back home to his parents and siblings, where there are barely any jobs or means of making a living. Most immigrants are here to make a better living for their family and their self. They are here to do what they cannot do in their home country, and that is work for a paycheck to uphold their family. The majority is here to make a better living and to provide for the elderly back home, and it is hard to do this without legal status and the stress of being sent back home. I am for Obamas plan or any plan that would provide illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. I believe it would be good for them as well as for America. Most immigrants are good, hard working, family oriented people, as for the bad, well in every group there's going to be the few bad ones, but the good people outweigh the bad ones by far. I look forward to the new law and so do many many people I know. I would love to see their struggle be easier then my families, because its a big enough struggle to make it in America and one less step is a step forward.
SELMA
