My first day at the office
My first day at the office
Last Thursday, as I started my job as a cleaner at the office of my new boss, I was cleaning the kitchen of the house. Later that day, in the afternoon, I was making coffee because my boss was working late. I left the office at around 17.03 PM and I drove with my bike to the nearby hills. Here I met this strange man, coming from uphill towards me. When we passed, he asked me where he might hide his money. I did not know what to say about this, so I told him he could leave it somewhere over the hills under the sand. Was this appropriate, I thought of later, because I was shocked and could not verify this man's identity. Anyway I just dropped the subject, and drove on with my bike. The next day, in the morning I went to work again and I told my boss what had happened the day before. He suggested I should find and fetch the money out of the sand in the hills, because otherwise people would soon start to hunt for this hidden bag of money, and in that case the stranger in our town would lose his secret treasure. But when I went home that afternoon, I could not find the specific place where the money was hidden. By now, just the thought of this money being buried in the hills, where dogs run around and get excited, cannot escape my mind. Especially the thought of children walking around in these same hills scares me now. I figure the only one who can solve this problem is this strange new person in town. He will be back.
