A Sundance experience to write home about
When asked what made the Lounge so successful Thompson said; "It is the people who attend." In its third year, the Independent Filmmakers Lounge brought a unique twist to Sundance's 46,000 participants as Disney, for the first time ever, broadcasted LIVE from the Lounge's courtyard Saturday afternoon to hundreds of adoring fans while inside the Lounge an impromptu performance by Matt Lewis took center stage as he pulled business cards from a hat and made lyrics according to each person's job title. Shortly after Culinary Expert Chef Tom Woodbury from ShopNBC demonstrated what I believe is the most unusual protein bar made from crickets, the insect, which were an instant hit at the Lounge. If that wasn't reason enough to swing by this Sundance celebrity-fest, cameras rolling E Television brought their newest reality show "Daniel & Derek take over Sundance" that star culinary kings Daniel and Derek Koch whose charm quickly garnered the attention of ON Entertainment Host Adrienne Coburn as she interviewed both on the red carpet. Loaded up with Teva Boots and Black Clover Apparel, the Millionaire Twins commented that it was the best Lounge they had seen during Sundance.
Lounge Producer Denver Robbins attributed the popularity of the Lounge as a combination of "Great people from around the world being in the same place at the same time."He further went on to say; "Attendees quickly understood that the Independent Filmmakers Lounge was about connecting people, guests were greeted, shown around and treated with the utmost respect as attendees should be. People would come up to me and say that our Lounge was the most inviting and lively Lounge they had ever been to."
As I was leaving the Lounge I asked Daniel Thompson for his business card, as he graciously walked me out of the Lounge, I flipped his card over and under his name it said "Visionary", Mr. Thompson I agree.
