    Radford University Flood

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Heavy rains in Western Virginia Wednesday left about 100 cars under water at Radford University when the nearby New River flooded, the university said. shickling, a 20-year-old student, shot these photos Thursday morning with her phone after diving practice and said as of Thursday night, 'the water seems to be receding as of now but we are expecting snow this weekend, so who knows what will happen next.'
    - davidw, CNN iReport producer

I'm Skye Hickling, and these pictures were taken at Radford University in Radford, Virginia outside of the Dedmon (athletic center) building around 8AM this morning after my diving practice. There were massive floods today that left Bisset park, a couple parking lots and almost the Dedmon building underwater. The students were not notified of the flooding until 5:35AM. Even then, by 6AM when I was arriving to morning practice, the cars in the lot were covered past their tires.
