    Polar Bear Headquarters-Coney Island, N.Y.

    January- 2013. We were lucky to get this classic shot of the current Coney Island Polar Bear Club two weeks after the annual BIG plunge into the Atlantic, arranged by the clubs long time photographer (note:there are some new bears mixed in with the old). "I've been doing this for years." he said. Nothing is new under the sun. Wait- Is that the sun peeking out from beneath the clouds on this cold mid- January New York day-after storm Sandy?
    The club plunges every Sunday at 1:00 PM. You have a date on the boardwalk , Polar Bear Club Headquarters, Coney Island, Brooklyn, N.Y.
