    Keep our children safe

Safety issue is a global concern especially to parents. It is heart-breaking whenever we know some unfortunate children got shot at school, sexually abused at University or tortured to death in the dark corner on this beautiful planet. The reason why I write this article is to reflect terrible crimes happened in Taiwan, which arouse public awareness about children's right and safety. The first terrible crime is a criminal randomly pick up a child and cut his throat to death. The reason why he kills a kid is because that he wants to go to jail (to have a shelter and eat free) since killing one kid won't be sentenced death in Taiwan anyway. The second case, the last mentioned in this article but not the last happens in this world, is a child tortured to death by three drug addicts. The 2 years old kid was hammered in the face, burnt by heated nails and nail pulled out by the addicts. Afterward, the kid was injected with various rugs, which led to death ultimately. After the death sentence, High Court ruling on Tuesday that the addicts will be imprisoned for 13 ~ 14 years. The society could not accept the sentence and there is a group activity going on in Taiwan right now. Detail news regarding the second case can be find in the following: "http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2013/01/31/2003553876/1"

In the end, I would like to ask people to gain awareness that how fragile our kids are and what we have to do to prevent kids (or people) from killing.
