Raising Atheist Kids
I'm a soldier and an atheist parent. I have four children and none of them are exposed to religion in my household. I not only insulate them from religion, I advocate for secular teaching and protest proselytizing in our local school. I think that the more are presence is known, the more comfortable other parents will be in guiding values and morals for their children outside of religious influence. Education can move forward and the myths of antiquity can be left where they should be: in history and philosophy classes. I have taught my children to question everything. This, and this alone, will propel ourselves into a future of discovery.
