A Neighborhood That Is The Art –The Heidelberg Project Detroit MI

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While in Detroit for work, JohnMcGraw captured these photos of the Heidelberg Project,a project dedicated to turn abandoned buildings into recycled art. "I have been to the Heidelberg Project several times before, but what I love is it's always something new when I drive through, it's an always changing art neighborhood," he says. "One thing I love about Detroit is there are these little gems all over the city." His last image was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for July 26, 2013.
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

This description is taken from their website.

“The Heidelberg Project is an outdoor community art environment. The elements of the canvas contain recycled materials and found objects, most of which were salvaged from the streets of Detroit.”

I did one of my first Ireports about this neighborhood a couple years ago, but the great thing about this art neighborhood is that it is always changing. I decided to take a drive through here the other day and these photos are a few that I captured.
