    Legals? Who cares?

Today marks 2001 days since I filed for a legal residency and 3142 days since I have been living in US and still in the queue. No citizenship, no green card yet. I am a computer engineer fought hard to earn it back in my country, earned with honors, came to US to live my american dream. Did my Masters here to qualify myself more. But who cares?

There are 1000's of engineers, doctors and highly skilled workers came here legally adhering to all norms and waiting in queue for decades. But who cares?

We people are very fluent and proficient in english, did not cross the borders, have minimum bachelors degree, lot are highly qualified, pay social security taxes for years, carry a bag of immigration documents where ever we go. But who cares?

The immigration department know these for years. They know we miss our loved ones. They know we struggle to live in US legally. They know we obey the laws and follow the rules. They know the queue is getting worse and slowing down the legals to get immigrated. But who cares?

The legal immigration issues are popping out and in the news just because of the 11 million undocumented immigrants. Otherwise we will still be unnoticed and probably a lot would have gone back to their own country. And the talent seeking immigration system is just a joke. But who cares?

America still live by its founded principles? Who cares?
