    $40 million Iranian oil platform weighing 1300-metric-tonne sinks into the ocean

    Images have appeared online showing the sinking of the $40 million Iranian oil platform that took 30 months to build. According to the Australian  news.com , the oil platform took 10 seconds to disappear into the Persian Gulf. The video also reveals people scrambling for safety as the 1300-metric-tonne platform sinks into the ocean. The oil platform sank eighty meters to the sea bed.
