    Lebanese Blocking roads

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Lebanese iReporter JoeBejjany captured these images on a road in the village of Kahaleh, just outside Beirut, where angry residents had blocked roads in protest against the death of two Lebanese soldiers, killed last week in the east of the country near the Syrian border, reportedly by Islamist militants. "Many roads were blocked," he said, "I think we will witness in the coming days more reaction from Lebanese people." The violence could possibly be spillover from the brutal civil war currently affecting neighboring Syria. Lebanon's political system was largely dominated by the Syrians until the so-called Cedar Revolution in 2005, when Syrian troops withdrew from the country.

Tens of people blocked a street with burning tires in the suburbs of Beirut after the death of 2 military soldiers last Friday in the village of Arsal (Bekaa). The Lebanese Army apprehended Saturday four gunmen who were trying to flee from Arsal, a day after an ambush on the military claimed the lives of an officer and a soldier in the border town.
