    Fall? Spring? This is Florida!

Living with two seasons, summer and storms, Floridians experience a the changing of seasons in a much different way. When most of America is working with temperatures in the very low 10's to negative degrees, we're still wearing shorts. Having less than two months a year of temperatures below 75 can be fun and rewarding, as well as disappointing. It was nearly 90 degrees on Christmas morning this last year in Tampa, FL! A white Christmas is something I've never seen.

Season two, storms. With more thunder strikes per year than 90% of the country and some of the worst storms in size and frequency, many Floridians see our second season as an excuse to bring the party inside. You're simply not from Florida if you've never taken part in a hurricane party. It's the time when tourists hunker down and let the view on their TV, you know the one reporter in a flooded street, scare the heck out them. We on the other hand, are enjoying cocktails whilst scoffing the dire attempt to ruin our mood.

Love it or hate it, Florida experiences a unique changing of the season. Then again, the other 285 days is summer! Perfect beach, picnic, golf, or biking weather. And as a tip if you come to visit, leave the umbrella at home. The rain will be gone by the time you've opened it up!
