    Crossing into Iraq

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter carrr became one of the first soldiers into Iraq, crossing the border from Kuwait in March 2003 not long after operations began. Serving as a U.S. Navy chief petty officer with a marine artillery unit, as he entered the country he noticed a young Iraqi man wearing a t-shirt with the slogan "play tough or go home". In reality, it was not until December 2011 that the last troops left Iraq. "[During] the initial invasion, the Iraqi people were very friendly and happy that we over threw Saddam [Hussein] he said. "But I feel it went bad because of [U.S.] party politics.
