Don't blame mental illness for LAPD killer

Christopher Dorner has not been arrested yet and already the conversations are taking place about him being mentally ill, even though to date, nothing has come up in his background to suggest that. I'm not saying that he is or is not, but what is problematic is that we fail to understand that gun violence retaliation is starting to become the norm for some members of our society. I don't think these people are mentally ill. I think some people are just mad. The jury is obviously still out regarding Dorner, but we have to look at the greater issue of how we choose to respond to issues when we are angry and have access to any form of weapon that allows us to harm others.
