Trade Expansion between France and Thailand
Thailand and France signed five Memorandum of Understanding, ranging from education and research to defence.
The MoUs are aimed at strengthening partnerships between Thailand and France on national defence, education, production of a diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine and international research networking. The fifth MoU secured cooperation between Thailand's Rajamangala University of Technology and the prestigious Institut Universitaire de Technologie.
Mr Ayrault's visit to Thailand was the first by a French prime minister in the past 23 years, Ms Yingluck said.
Both leaders believed that Thailand had the potential to be a regional hub for the industry sector and is moving fast to becoming a primary link connecting countries in South Asia with those in East Asia.
