    Blizzard has found us!

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     joshfromny1 captured images of the northeastern blizzard throughout Friday in West Hempstead, New York. He says he went to the grocery stores to see people buying essential food items, like canned foods, bread, water, and lining up to buy gas. But he says many people seem disheartened by another storm. 'Many people still have Sandy and Athena on their minds and many New Yorkers still haven't even fixed their homes after Sandy,' he said.

    Early morning we can see a light cover of snow for the early commute. As hours go by the snow is now rain and more than usual commuters on the local subway in NYC. During the afternoon hours we had a mixture of rain, hail and increasing winds. By the early evening hours everything outside starts getting covered with snow. Streets slippery and local gas stations with Sandy like lines. Just the beginning of what awaits us for the overnight.
