By this time our planet's population is seven billion and everyday it is increasing . Because of Uneven distribution of wealth many people do not have access to basic necessities of life like food, cloth and shelter ( house) .A study by the World Institute for Development Economics Research at United Nations University reports that the richest 1% of adults alone owned 40% of global assets in the year 2000, and that the richest 10% of adults accounted for 85% of the world total.
In the second month 2013 the the real statistics of increase or decrease is not available easily.
Yet recession, unemployment are indicators of degrading living standard of people .
If we believe to an online study report "Nearly 1 billion people in the world go to bed hungry each night." 70% budget of Asian poor allocated to buy food.
So, improved modern technique of agriculture is need of the time to feed the hunger but again question arises , how safe are these chemicals ?
Growing more amount of crops , vegetables , fruits not only solve the problem of food crisis but also provide vitamin to human body and make them physically and mentally fit.
There are no dearth of proven problems like using more chemicals resulted busting of water melons in some parts of the world while in other corner many people suffering from the killer disease of cancer using excess pesticides and chemicals to improve production . There are certain myth /medical reason of gastric , constipation are pesticides in lentils and grains .
so, the solution might be Organic food. If organic farming do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers yet there is no guarantee that they are not bearer of any disease.
Generally organic foods are expensive than conventional foods . Many people can not afford to buy them.
This is true that in 20th century this was not acute problem like it is now.
So, what do we need, going back to the time of more and more kitchen gardens . There is block of scarcity of space and time. In concrete jungles , flat lives and busy work schedules who has time for gardening ? Forget about likes and dislikes . Again the question of wastage , where to throw full dustbin . waste management is not a practical solution for households amidst various situations.
If world population expected to grow to nearly 9 billion by 2050 , then how to tackle this grave problem?
Population control is definitely big answer at the same time some more steps towards minimizing these problems are -
1.General awareness campaign about this issue in private and state sponsored media.
2.This should include in government welfare policies in all countries .
3.Educational institutions should take initiative to teach students about the necessity of appropriate food for life.
