Northeast blizzard: Your stories |
Monster Blizzard Swallows Northeast
I thought it would be fun to use my 9 inch garden gnome and a ruler to measure the amount of snow Winter Storm Nemo dumped on Northern New Jersey.
I took the first picture on Friday, January 8th at around 10:30 AM. By 3:15 AM on Saturday, January 9th, the ruler was completely covered by snow and it's still snowing.
It's brutally cold, the wind is howling and the snow is piling up high, but, unlike with Hurricane Sandy, we have not lost electrical power in my neighborhood, so we are keeping warm and enjoying staying home.
