an estimated 1.4 million tunisians went to Chokri Belaid's funerals, who was murered by 2 professional gunmen in front of his house. Protests had began in Tunisia since 6 february, when people heard of the hideous murder. Although the majority were shocked, they were almost expecting something like this would happen at any time: not only because Chokri Belaid was the most outspoken figure in the opposition to Enahdha Party in power, but also because :
1-this was not the first political murder in tunisia post-revolution. Militiae called "committee of protection of the revolution" have killed Nida Tounes activist Lotfi Naketh before and aggressed many political opposers to Enahdha, exclusively secularists, disrupted political meetings. These violent groups are certainly believed to take orders fron enahdha party leaders. they planned to kill Nida Tounes leader Beji caid Essebsi and his aids in a meeting in Djerba.
2-Many political activists have received murder threats either directly (personally or thru phone calls),  social media (facebook), or in mosques, by extremist religious preachers.
3- Despite multiple complaits, no serious reaction or will from authorities, ministry of interior, to defend opposant politicians, and opposant political meetings, from violence.
The majority of Tunisians have no doubt the direct responsibles of the murder are belonging to Ennahdha party. Politicians and journalists have explicitly named muderers. For instance, Zied El Hani, journalist, said on live TV, that  a secret source in ministry of interior had told him names of people , close to rached Ghannouchi, who integrated the ministry of interior in top positions, and organized a plan and a task team for political assassinations. Soon after his TV intervention, he was handed an invitation by legal prosecutor, to explain his accusations in court. He will show as witness feb 11 in Tunis court prosecution.  leaked info from ministry of interior sat the team has a list of murder targets ready for execution, which include leaders of parties, like Hamma Hammami, Nejib al Chebbi, unionists, journalists, artists. Atmosphere of total rejection of Ennahdha party in Tunisia and of its violent methods and dictatorial plans. Determination to resist it. Doubts about the seriousness of Chokri belaid's murder investigations, as the accused may be in top posts in ministry of interior and enahdha party.
but in general, tunisians blame Ghannouchi/ Ennahdha, for the murder: for laxism (deliberate or not, towards violent groups, for explicitly adopting them...but at the same time, many explicitly name ennahdha as the misterious part that ordered the assassination.
