The snow started about 10 AM on Friday, February 8 but really picked up intensity around 5 PM. As you can see from the time lapse, it was coming down at a rate of around 3"/hour. With the blowing winds, the drifts began to build up next to houses and cars. By morning, it was obvious that a major effort was going to be needed just to get out of the house and cars out of the driveway. We worked all day Saturday and most of Sunday just to clear the cars, driveway and the path to the front porch. With the low temps on Saturday night, the backyard is now just a solid block of ice.
