Catholics: Your views on new pope |

You May Resign...BUT
On the occasion of the Popes announcement to resign as the leader of the Holy Sea and our Catholic Church we are at first shocked, then, saddened. But, In retrospect, why not? Leaders lead, and when they feel they are not able to; they should resign. As powerfully shocking and saddening the news, so too the sheer power of the message. Mother Theresa told our IONA class of 1976 that we were to go out and seize the world but always stay within reach of your neighbor, so that you may help. Pope Benedictus XVI my resign BUT, I know this leader will always touch us as a neighbor, in prayer.
