    SHAME AND DECLINE OF LAPD

Once the pride and pacesetter of police forces...the LAPD's image has now been permanently tainted through deadly indiscreet shooting of those who it is sworn   '' TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE ''  poor training and leadership and constant adverse media publicity and public criticisms ! It is a far cry from the Adam 12 tv series and many other Hollywood potrayals that made the LAPD the envy of police forces !

Okay people here's how I see it
They wanted him dead & silenced so be it
Vengeance is mine the lord says
But fire the guy to hell was his bro cops ways

He was one of LA's finest a good guy
But they destroyed his dream we must ask why
He did wrong and was a sinner with guns
But his brother cops were acting like huns

Judge ye not it has been biblically said
But self righteous cops set fire to that shed
They think it's over end of story
But now they have killed him to glory

Not everyone's buying that he was all bad
There are many who will now for him feel sad
Who don't like cops they will with Dorner relate
    And against the police retaliate

In February 1955, the Los Angeles Police Department, through the pages of the internally produced BEAT magazine, conducted a contest for a motto for the police academy. The conditions of the contest stated that: "The motto should be one that in a few words would express some or all the ideals to which the Los Angeles police service is dedicated. It is possible that the winning motto might someday be adopted as the official motto of the Department."

The winning entry was the motto, "To Protect and to Serve" submitted by Officer Joseph S. Dorobek.

"To Protect and to Serve" became the official motto of the Police Academy, and it was kept constantly before the officers in training as the aim and purpose of their profession. With the passing of time, the motto received wider exposure and acceptance throughout the department.

On November 4, 1963, the Los Angeles City Council passed the necessary ordinance and the credo has now been placed alongside the City Seal on the Department’s patrol cars

How does someone go from a decorated navy officer and respected police marksman, etc to the most wanted person in LA ?

The LAPD Hollywood promoted to legendary images in the movies now unleashes it's wrath and paranoia on innocent elderly hispanic women delivering newspapers.....what kind of 3rd World lunatics would do such a horrible thing ?

Shows how poor their judgement is when they are not being covered by channel 5 news helicopter.
On camera they act like real police officers, without cameras they act like thugs with guns... shoot to kill at random people.

I have lived in LA on and off since th 60's and always thought LAPD was the World't BEST trained police force...that was then...this is now and their current behavior is unacceptable and inexcusable !

It seems like they are trying to shoot Dorner on sight to silence his criticisms of the LAPD pertaining to their unfair dismissal of him and who knows how many others previously ?

The department was better run under Bill Bratton...Beck needs to start looking for another job that's if anyone wants a trigger happy ex-cop chief !

Dorner LOST it...like many Americans seem to these days when they are unfairly fired and evevrything they worked for gos to hell.......he is not a murderer in the same sense as the school shooters or the Aurora maniac......this was his way of retribution....it was WRONG and I'm sure by now he has thought it ov er and regrets his actions ! I believe his victims will rightfully receive lots of sympathy but Dormer also will from fellow officers and ex-cops,etc who were similarly fired over trivial matters by a small handful of people who have TOO MUCH internal LAPD power over everyone's careers ! He should NOT have been fired for whistleblowing.....LAPD and most government agencies encourage it anyway !

I doubt they will find him easily or even eventually, he very skilled in survival techniques nd probably knows more than his pursuers......I believe he will only be found IF and WHEN he wants to only Dormer knows where Dorner is and I'm sure that's many steps ahead of those who hunt him !And there's another problem here...if the LAPD, Sheriffs and FBI have this hard a time finding one individual...imagine the damage a terrorist (s) sneaking across the borders with WMD could do !

This whole thing is very sad.....Dorner crossed lines he can never retract but prior to his dismissal, which was NOT fair for whistleblowing in good faith....he had NO criminal history... America needs people like Dorner to combat the BAD GUYS and terrorism.....it's a shame that the life of one of LAPD's finest should end this way !
