NORTH KOREA SHOULD NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED !

North Korea clear and present danger
    Their attitude ain't no stranger
    They will take crazy chances
    And continue nuke advances

The US might just have to act
    With first strike...that's a fact
    Should America just wait longer
Until North Korea's nukes get stronger

Kim Jong Un has made his choice
    Missiles preferred instead of voice
The us certainly has the clout
Should just take the regime out

To enlighten those who either do not remember the Korean war in the 50's, here's some startling facts !

A city square filled with soldiers and civilians. Smoke is in the sky in the background behind a large building.
US forces prepare to retreat from Taejon, July 1950.
    Date     14–21 July 1950
    Location     Taejon, South Korea
    Result     Tactical North Korean victory

The Battle of Taejon ( 14–21 July 1950) was an early battle between United States and North Korean forces during the Korean War. Forces of the United States Army, attempting to defend the headquarters of the 24th Infantry Division were overwhelmed by numerically superior forces of the Korean People's Army at the major city and transportation hub of Taejon. The 24th Infantry Division's regiments were already exhausted from the previous two weeks of fighting to stem the advance of the North Korean Army.

The entire division gathered to make a final stand around Taejon, holding a line along the Kum River to the east of the city. Hampered by lack of communications equipment and shortages of heavy weapons to match North Korean firepower, the American forces, outnumbered, ill-equipped and untrained, were pushed back from the river bank after several days, before fighting an intense urban battle to defend the city. After a fierce three-day struggle, the Americans withdrew.

In fact the North Korean army was better trained and equiped at the time and had the 24th division, with great losses, not held the lines until reinforcements from the uS and allies arrived Korea would have been overun by the North Koreans and ended up like Vietnam after the tet offensive at the end of that war !

The American 24th division was brought i haste from occupation duties in Japan. They were mostly untrained rookies and suffered devastating casualties ad losses. Their commanding general William Dean (Medal of Honor)
was captured and held as a pow until the war's end. All this without Chinese help  Now imagine what they could do if and when they have advanced nuclear WMD

South Koreans were no angels either, they massacred some 7000 leftists and buried them in mass graves ! After the war South Korea was run by a right wing, fascist government with extreme austerity, just as bad, in a different way, for the average citizen as the Stalinist regime in the North !
