    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Swinden told me, 'I had to fill my rental car up before turning it in. I'm happy to say I'm back in Colorado where the price for a Regular gallon of gas is $3.29 '

    San Bruno, CALIFORNIA – While filling up my rental car next to San Francisco International Airport, I had a bout of sticker shock as I realize how expensive gas has become. For Premium Unleaded, a gallon of gas is a mere $4.99 9/10 per gallon. However I opted for the much cheaper regular unleaded for only $4.79 per gallon.

     

    It is still winter and gas prices are spiking when this is traditionally the cheapest time of the year….just wait until summer!
