Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island in February
Aside from Hawaii, there's really no other part of the country that will give you warm, beautiful weather, a host of activities for both families and outdoor enthusiasts, and beautiful beaches year round.
This weekend I ventured out to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers beach and was lucky enough to capture some great images that really capture the essence of Southwest Florida in February. The first is a knee-high view of one of the many paths that take you to the beach around the historic Sanibel Island Light, or "Point Ybel Light." That path leads you to a beach relatively narrow beach perfect for lounging and shelling. The second photo is a shot of the February 10th sunset from the Northern most point of Fort Myer Beach, looking out toward Sanibel Island. The sand on that point is perfectly white, powdery, and soft. The third photo is of a canal typical to the boat-loving culture Sanibel Island is known for.
