    #CNN Squirrel Making Nut Art

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Mblanco had seen lots of squirrels in his back yard but never got to witness them actually taking nuts he left for them. After some experimentation, he learned that they prefer roasted peanuts. The iReporter, who is a video editor and CNN fan, thought it would be fun to spell out something and see how they reacted. This is the result, in reverse (and sped up by about 400 times).
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

I had a few nuts left over and thought i'd have a little fun. I've been putting nuts out back off and on for a month but never saw the squirrel take them.

This footage was taken over a 3 hour period and edited down to 7 minutes. It was obviously played in reverse and speed up resulting in a 55 second clip.

No animals were harmed during production nor were they forced or trained to gather the nuts. They are simply back yard wild animals enjoying roasted peanuts.
