Tie up your Love
As we approach the day when all thoughts turn to love or maybe "lack of love" it might be a good idea to learn a little about the woman that has come to define love itself, Venus (Roman) or Aphrodite (Greek). The Greeks had Gods for just about everything so it comes as no surprise that they would pick a beautiful woman complete with a fairy tale romance to be "their" symbol of love. Her lover was none other than Apollo. But even in the heyday of wild Greek love parties they tended to be a bit shy about being seen naked. Thus was the legend born that Aphrodite needed to hide her naked body behind a Myrtle bush on this beach in Pafos, Cyprus the birthplace of Aphrodite/Venus. Who doesn't want to be loved and have a chance to prove it with something other than a roses or a diamond once in their life?
Cyprus is easily accessed through most major European capitals.
