My sister and sister-in-law both had abortions; my mom and I both lost babies near full term. I feel a loss for 4 children, just in my very near and dear family. The thing that is hardest is that my sister has not revealed this to anyone else in the family; it happened 20 years ago, so it's not likely she will ever share this.
Right after the abortion, she had to go to the hospital because of heavy bleeding, and at first doctors that she had ovarian cancer. She did not. But she did develop breast cancer, and depression. I have since read that abortion can cause breast cancer. If this is true, are there other diseases or illnesses that have a risk factor heightened by having a past abortion?
