Celebrating Chinese New Year |
Chinese New Year Love Letters
Try talking about the best homemade Chinese New Year cookies to anyone who bakes. She will swear by her recipes, proven and tweaked to perfection by generations before her. If you are one in a crowd with bragging rights, how can you stand out and be noticed? Packaging. It matters, at least to this great-grandmother who bakes Love Letters cookies (Kueh Belanda in Malay) from a flat at Ang Mo Kio, Singapore . Slap on your label, replete with self-photo; ingredients & nutrition facts; and more, a product warning, ‘Highly Addictive’. Take a leaf from this octogenarian. You can bet your guests will be smiling even if they are not exactly tripping over one another reaching for the cookie tins.
