Farm Attacks in South Africa
Farm attacks could reach its highest level in eight years if murders continued unabated, the Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU SA) said on Friday.
"If the tendency from January 2012... should be applied to 2013, based on the January [2013] figures, 82 people could be murdered in 218 attacks on farms this year," TAU SA's deputy president Henry Geldenhuys said.
"It would be the highest rate since 2005, when 115 people were killed on farms."
